Greek resort suggestions.

Looking for suggestions for Greek holiday resorts. We would really like a resort that is close to the beach but has a reasonably short transfer time, say under an hour. DGS cannot cope with coach travel. Thanks.

Most of the Greek Islands are small so once you've landed most of the coach transfers are fairly short.

My favourites are:

Rhodes old town
Paphos in Cyprus
Zante
Parga on mainland Greece

We stayed in Kos at Dimitra Beach Hotel & Suites and it was lovely. It’s adults only though (im not sure if dgs is grandson or not so might not be a good recommendation)

Lassi in kefalonia. Gorgeous beach and very close to airport.

Hersonissos in Crete is about 30 mins from Heraklion. There are loads of hotels there to choose from, nice beaches and plenty to do.

Ikos in Kos and Corfu both have about 20 mins transfer time. In our experience, Ikos Odisia in Corfu is the nicest.

We are going to Skiathos this summer.. Mamma Mia island! It’s 15 minutes from the airport.
I’ve been to Lassi, Kefalonia a few years ago, I agree with previous poster that it’s beautiful.
