Are mother and 13-year-old spa days available in the UK?

Does anyone know if a 'mum and 13 yr old spa day' is a thing and has anyone been to one?

Don't do it Victoria. Leave Harper alone 😠

No spas are usually over 16s. We make a thing of taking each dd when they hit 16 as it isn’t possible before then. The one we go to is really strict and ids them!

No, and it would be unfair on other users. It’s an adult thing. Nobody wants kids around

Says who? I personally wouldn't mind sensible teens around when I go. But op, if your budget would stretch to it you could consider an airbnb that has a hot tub and sauna and do a diy spa day, that's the only option I can think of.

I can see why even as a mother of sensible teens. If you let some underage in you open the floodgates to those bringing hoards of shrieking kids dive bombing in the pool. Not worth the risk.

The Aqua Sana spa at Center Parcs has a minimum age of 14 (and they do check).

Truetoself · 19/05/2026 06:28

I looked into this and most places need you to be over 18

mumstaxifortwo · 19/05/2026 07:00

Yes, there is one in not too far from where I live (Yorkshire) that has dedicated Mum and Daughter Spa days. I took my daughter when she was around 10 and she loved it. We had a morning in the spa and then lunch. The spa usually has 2 sessions, one for younger children and then one for teens, which I think is from 12+.

We did a day but it was just a hot tub rather than full on spa facilities. You got your own room with a hot tub outside. We did that has treatments and then afternoon tea. Was really good.

Might be worth seeing if any of your local salons do something like this.

We went to the one in CP last year and my daughter was 14, she really enjoyed it. I’d say she was definitely the youngest in there, but her behaviour was better than some of the older visitors (yes I’m looking at you the two ladies with bottles of rose you’d smuggled in and were being less than discreet and your mini cheddars!).

Whyarentyoureadyyet · 19/05/2026 07:08

I looked into this for my daughter once and there were a few places dotted around that do them but not many

thisistheworstpossibletiming · 19/05/2026 07:11

As said upthread, Aqua Sana at CenterParcs is 14+ I believe. That’s probably the youngest you’ll find

Thelonelypotter · 19/05/2026 07:44

Can you remember which one it was, I can't find it x

Yes, it is The Spa at Ye Olde Bell in Retford, they usually advertise the dates on social media.
