Cheap and cheerful, self catering holiday recommendations

Would anyone like to help me find a cheap and cheerful holiday?
I feel like I've searched the Internet high and low, and I'm overwhelmed.
A recommendation from somewhere you have been would be fantastic!

So we are travelling as a family of three with our 1 year old.
We would love a week somewhere in Spain, Portugal, Italy or Greece.
We'd like to be self catering, but somewhere close to a beach and somewhere that has a pool.
We really don't mind the accommodation being basic, as long as it's clean and we're able to cook and prepare meals.

We would just love a week to relax (as much as possible with a toddler). Somewhere we can sit and play on the beach and in the pool, and a park nearby would be a bonus :-)

Have you looked at Eurocamp? Especially out of school holidays. They have ones in Spain. Otherwise look at TripAdvisor

If you have specific areas in mind, check out local tourism boards These you can search & book accommodation directly, it's a lot cheaper.

We tend to go to stay in Christakis hotel in Sidari if we fancy a cheap week away in the sun. Accommodation is basic but comfortable and very clean self catering and it’s got a pool and toddler section, does food, close to plenty of excellent restaurants and super markets and the beach and sidari town is just 4-5 minutes walk away. Right by the canal d’amour too. Includibg fights, transfers and accommodation I can get a week/10 days for £260-350 per person ( for 3-4 of us) in July/August.

Put your requirements into the deals finder of jet2holidays.com and be as flexible as possible. Trip Advisor 4 and upwards to exclude anything less nice.

Sort by price low to high and work upwards. Look for something in walking distance to beach, supermarket etc.

Once you've chosen something Google the name of the accommodation to see if you can book directly for less.

Interpals Eco Resort through Eurocamp.

Spain. Walking distance to beach. Pool with good toddler splash area. Cabins have aircon and heating. Nearby towns are interesting to visit. Couple of small play areas within the site.

If not that one then Eurocamp in general (outside of school holidays) works well for what you’re looking for.
