Crete/Corfu recommendations- couple

DH and I are hoping to go on holiday to one of these locations in September
Max budget is 3k.

Would like recommendations for a good all inclusive, doesn't have to be adults only but not overly geared toward kids, preferably on a beach.

Alternatively we are open to b&b if really near a beach and a non rowdy town. Would appreciate any suggestions 🙂

We have booked Leptos Panaroma in Crete for first week of June. Haven’t been there yet so can’t personally recommend it but the reviews are great. It’s close to beach and Chania town. For two adults, all inclusive including flights we are paying approx £1300 for 4 days.

A few years ago DH and I went to Rethymon on Crete. I think it was Oct, so pretty quiet but still very warm. We didn't stay in AI nor a Bnb, but there was a pool, 5min walk to beach and a breakfast buffet each morning. We stayed at the Achillion palace, but it was nothing like a palace and fairly basic IMO.

We caught a bus to Heraklion for the day to see the amazing museum and knossos. You can get a ferry to Santorini, but the week we went, they'd stopped the fast ferries and only had overnight ones for the winter. I've heard people rave about Chania which is the other end of the island, but didnt go there.

Aelos Beach on Corfu is excellent. It has its own beach, and three pools, so you can stay away from the children’s areas as much as you want to.

3k total or per person ? A week ?

Grecotel Daphnila bay on Corfu was lovely when we went last year.

Royal Marmin in Crete was fabulous.

Mitsis Royal Mare is really nice.

Kassiopi in Corfu. I'd get an apartment and do self catering and the amazing restaurants. It's a stunning friendly harbour.

We haven't got around to booking yet..life, but this is actually shortlisted on my jet2 account it's coming in about 2800 for the week.

Corfu last year end Sept and the weather was disappointing.

I’ve stayed at Grecotel Imperial twice, both times in late May. Not AI - half board with a good choice of restaurants. Would definitely go back.

We're staying in Corfu Town in September. I'm not a sun worshipper so if the weather isn't great that's ok. It's a beautiful town and lots to see. I just love Greece. Unfortunately mozzies love me!

Helea lifestyle or Kassiopi

I'm currently in elounda palace bay hotel. It's lovely and a 15-20 minutes walk to the town. We are half board and have bought gin from local store for our room! 10 days upgrading to sea view room is £2500 for us both with Jet2. We also did their private transfer from Herakleion at £182 for 2. It's too hot to sleep just now 😁

Just been talking to a couple (on airport transfer) who were at Dreams resort Corfu. They said it's fantastic. Not something I'd normally go for but sounds very relaxing.
