Gatwick pick up north terminal , how much

Has anyone found the two hour free long stay ok? I’ve read it’s 12 min on bus so there and back potentially uses up to an hour if you ‘miss’ and have to wait for next bus. But I can’t see how much the hourly rate parking is if we are more than two hours? And is this still cheaper than a short stay? I can’t find any prices for say a 1.45 pick up slot. Thank you !

The buses are fairly frequent, every 10 minutes, less so at quieter times, but if its busy you don't always get on the first one if you are at a busy stop further round the lot. It does depend which lots are open to park. Coming back, never been a problem getting on the bus, but again it depends where you are getting off as to how long that takes. 2 hours is plenty to accompany someone and point them in the right direction at the terminal, but not for a long goodbye
