Recommendations on Eurocamp (or similar) in Netherlands/Germany/Belgium

Hi thinking of doing an Eurocamp style holiday, in Netherlands/Germany/Belgium possibly NE France.
Any recommendations, also open to non Eurocamp but similar holiday parks.

If anyone has recommendations on nice areas to visit, which region/country they like best too that would be appreciated- we have been to France before but not the other countries.

Will be 2 adults, 12 & 15 year olds. They like the beach, swimming, watersports. They would enjoy climbing wall/treetop adventure type activities if a proper adult one not too childish.
Close to a theme park would be a bonus but not essential.
Older DD would enjoy some shops and pretty towns.

Thank you!

Landal holiday parks are good. Not sure if there is one near Die Efteling which is a great theme park

Thank you! I was wondering about Efteling - is it good for all ages or more for young children, have heard mixed opinions

Would you consider Center Parcs? We visited De Kempervennen in Netherlands and it was amazing. Far far cheaper than U.K. ones, and loads of stuff to do for kids/teens of all ages. Pool is fantastic, there is an indoor ski slope with real snow. We combined it with a trip to Efteling (4 nights CP, 2 nights Efteling), we had nearly 12 year old DD with us, and would happily go again when she is older as there were loads of suitable rides.

We loved TerSpegelt which is 30 minutes from Efteling and has great accommodation - our kids were a similar age to yours and loved it, lots of fun activities including the Blob and lovely lake beaches. We did Hof Van Saksen last year which is amazing, especially if you like water slides - it has the biggest in Europe (it's scary!). We had a cottage right on the beach and everyone enjoyed it very much.

These options both sound amazing

Duinrell is really good in Holland. Lots of different travel companies have bases there. Good location for exploring.

TerSpegelt would be good, close to Efteling & Toverland which are great for all ages. Lots to do on site too for older kids. Eindhoven nearby. The site has a fab lake & beach if visiting in summer, the ‘blob’ on another lake & paddleboarding etc on another lake.

Duinrell in Holland.. theme park and indoor water park on-site 😊

GoBackToPartyCity · 11/05/2026 20:43

TerSpegelt was great - we went to Efteling and Toverland during the week we spent there. There’s a lovely village about a 5 minute drive away.

I’ve heard good things about De Kempervennen and Hof Van Saksen too.

If you’re into theme parks then I would see if there are any camps near Europa Park?

DistractMe · 11/05/2026 21:53

Another vote for Duinrell in the Netherlands. Great campsite, excellent beaches, lovely area, the kids will enjoy the pool and theme park...and it's only twenty minutes drive from Hook of Holland.

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 11/05/2026 22:26

We also really enjoyed TerSpelgt.
DC were nearly 12 and nearly 15.

We went to centre parks Het Hejeirbos in the Netherlands. It's within an hour of Efteling although we didn't go. No beach. I personally like a sunny summer holiday so Netherlands/ Belgium/ Northern Germany don't appeal on weather grounds (they're winter holidays imo) but my kids liked it.

We've also stayed at Eurocamp Gitzenweiler Hof in Southern Germany, near Lake of Constance/ Bodensee and from there we visited Legoland. If you're driving that's a far longer drive though. (We flew and hired a car.)

PickledMuffin · 11/05/2026 22:48

Europarc Kaatsheuvel is good. lots to do at the site and it’s near Efteling.

And another vote for Duinrell, had a brilliant holiday. We did the caravan rather than the tent option in case it rained (it did a bit!). Recommend a day trip to Madurodam as well in The Hague. Madurodam

Duinrell and De Kempervennen as mentioned already. Look at Roompot.com - their main roompot resort on Zeeland (and Water Village next door) is right on the beach. Lots of lovely small towns nearby, big sandy beaches, nice seafood, Neeltje Jans Delta park and there;s a decent Go-Ape place the other side of the estuary. Boat trips for sea watching. It;s a very pretty part of NL.
