Both my children have two inset days coming up; one on the Friday and one on the Monday… what a treat 🥹😍🤭 so I thought, let’s book a cheeky little get away!

We usually go to Bognor, it’s our happy place, but we have a week booked there in August so we’ve decided on Weymouth. The kids want to go to the sea life centre there as it’s huge apparently.

What other recommendations do people have to fill 2 full days and 2 half days please? 🙏🏼

edit to add my children are 12 and 15

We stayed at Haven Littlesea. Kids loved it, could hardly get them out of the pools. We were very lucky with the weather antics day on the beach snacks little fairground area. Wendy really. ‘Go’ anywhere!

Oh how lovely, we went to a Haven park last year and they absolutely loved it. We went to Church Farm in Bognor. It was brilliant for all ages.

If kids are into bouldering or climbing, Portland is nearby, may have to book a instructor/ guide tho

Just an aside, but do go careful if you're taking a dog with you.

I took my dog to Weymouth and was given a fine by a really unpleasant Enforcement Officer for having my dog off lead. He said I was in an 'on lead' area but I wasn't - the map and notices proved that.

I appealed and was reimbursed but it was a stressful hassle which spoiled our day and gave me a load of unnecessary admin.

Monkey World is fab. We go every year

the sealife centre there isn’t that good.

nothe fort and nothe park area for one morning then over to portland bill for a wander and a slice of cake a mooch around the harbour and then chips for supper

a morning enjoying all the different sections of beaches, Weymouth has lots .bowleaze end is lovely . A wander around the rspb reserve and to see the swans and head down to the marina. Afternoon out so could head to dorchester for a museum, Lyme Regis for fossils, abbotsbury swannery.

any of the above for another day out then more beach exploring or otherwise monkey world or the tank museum.

final day Swanage for the steam train and corfe castle.

as you can tell I know it well and love it
