Suggestions for a three-night France break with charm and close to a water park

Hello
I would love some advice please. I'm looking for suggestions for a short 3 night stay in France. I would love the South of France but I think too far for 3 nights only. We plan on crossing with the car on Le Shuttle. Ideally not very commercial, somewhere with real French charm, but I have promised my son we will drive to a water park.

Am totally clueless so all suggestions welcome.

Any eurocamps?

Pornic or Nantes

Stay in Veurne and go to the beaches and Plopsaland / Plopsaqua.

Or if you stay in the Plopsa village - entry in included.
