Hello,
I was wondering if anyone had recent experience of the EES system at leShuttle? We are travelling on a Friday in June so out of holidays, and I haven’t heard reports of big delays but just wondering what experiences people have had? Do they do the new checks before boarding the train, or on the other side in France (since you go through both passport controls on the English side) - just thinking if we need to account for additional time or expect to be arriving a bit later if delays are on the French side.

I went a couple of weeks ago to Brussels and returned via Lille. No problems. Just scanned my eyes and put my hand on a machine.

Was advised to queue 45 mins before departure but it is run very efficiently and they will move long queues over to EU ones to get you through.

I lost my passport abroad, got emergency papers and it was just the smooth with that temp one of passport on the return.

We came out on LeShuttle 2 weeks ago, returning in a couple of days. EES isn’t up & running yet so no change as yet. Usual congestion around the passport control / border points.

EES checks are carried out before you board the train, however if you are travelling in a car in June EES won't impact you.

Sounds like you travelled with Eurostar rather than Le Shuttle. Apologies if I'm wrong.

Interesting, have they said when they plan to begin?

Has anyone travelled Le Shuttle in June? I want it up and running so we can do it there rather than at an airport.

We traveled UK to France on LeShuttle 5th June - not up and running. You can see the big sheds they’re obviously planning to use but still very much WIP.
