Would you feel safe to travel to Dubai in June?

No

SweetBaklava · 28/04/2026 21:34

Yes

Green6 · 28/04/2026 21:36

So far it's like my thoughts arguing with each other 😂

No

Shuffletoesxtreme · 28/04/2026 21:38

Depends what the current foreign office advice is and therefore whether my travel insurance would be valid

dizzydizzydizzy · 28/04/2026 21:40

No.

Epicuriouss · 28/04/2026 21:55

It would be silly to travel to a war zone when there’s another 200-odd countries to choose from.

CleanSkin · 28/04/2026 21:55

No. And that was before the region was f/d up by the US.

AnnaQuayRules · 28/04/2026 21:56

Absolutely not

Green6 · 28/04/2026 22:02

I should say it is for work rather than a holiday, but I could probably avoid if really needed.

The UK government is advising against all but essential travel to the UAE.

Where2start75 · Yesterday 08:18

@Green6 I would be asking is it essential I am there in person, and are work paying for the appropriate insurance to cover 'all but essential' travel.

Clearinguptheclutter · Yesterday 08:25

I’d go for work if I could be actually sure I was insured which I believe is tricky if the FCO still has it as no-go

I have colleagues out there. I wouldn’t personally fancy Dubai if I had a choice but they are all fine, feel safe and everything is going back to some kind of normal
