Travel insurance for flights and villa booked separately

Does anyone know which travel insurance to book when you’ve booked flights and a villa separately? Thinking of doing this but don’t want to risk being out of pocket for the villa if our flights are cancelled and we can’t get an alternative

Any travel insurance should cover this. What makes you think it doesn’t?

As pp said, this isn’t anything special. Book the flights and the insurance the same day though, as I’ve found some policies won’t accept you if time has passed since making one of the bookings.

It’s just the jet fuel thing in the news and if this will fall under some exclusion

Not all travel insurance will cover this. This was demonstrated during the ash cloud and covid. What you need to check is that you have cover for consequential losses. So if you cant get there because of no availability of flights will it cover the cost of your villa. It is more common these days but not ubiquitous.
