Hi, can anyone recommend any hotels good for families with young kids in Hanoi, Hoi An or Danang? Thanks!

I am just back from VN but dont' even remember names of most the hotels we stayed in.

I would use reviews on TripAdvisor plus hotel details to find one with a pool and good ratings for breakfast (so you know there's a decent range of options).

There may not be a lifeguard, though.

The Apricot in Hanoi was said to have a nice pool but it's a very pricey hotel. Nice location, though.

I was very recently looking at hotels in Vietnam as we were contemplating going in August. We have now decided on Bali but I noted a chain called Vinpearl and they looked to be more geared towards families

Just got back a week ago with DCs 12 and 14, we get 2 rooms and each share with a DC. Hanoi we stayed at Solare De Monte it was clean, breakfast had options and the staff were lovely, Hoi An we were about 15 mins from the centre on the beach at Wyndham beach resort - it was very lovely, however it felt as if they were trying to do too much, bunnies to pet over Easter, but uncleared tables at breakfast. It was also expensive to eat there, basically UK price but there were some lovely restaurants just over the road.

Hoi An we stayed in la siesta. Gorgeous hotel with two pools. Very traditional decor. There was a kids room, but for very young kids. In Danang we stayed in the Hyatt Regency. Much more international. That had the most amazing kids area, lots of kids activities, several pools and was on the beach. We loved both hotels for different reasons.

You can use “Filters” on accommodation booking platforms to pick ones that suit your interests.
How many days for Danang and Hoian? They are close to each other.

@ranoutofquinoaandprosecco I’m glad to read this as we have booked Solare de Monte for July! Glad to hear it is nice.

Also just got back - went with two teens. All of these had interconnecting rooms, although weren’t the cheapest:

Sofitel Metropole (Hanoi)
Orchid cruise (Halong Bay)
Allegro (Hoi An) - great location
Banyan Tree Lang Co (an hour from Danang)

Angsana Lang Co shares the beach with the Banyan Tree but is significantly cheaper. It has possibly the biggest swimming pool ever and accommodation was significantly cheaper than Banyan Tree. You could have been in any tropical destination to be fair but it was the perfect way to relax at the end of the holiday
