Agadir in August

Hi all,

Has anyone been to Agadir in August? Im tempted to book for a few days but after doing some research online im getting conflicting information on what the weather will be like.

I've read that the weather is extremely hot and misty in August to the point that its almost unbearable. I have 3 kids aged 10 14 and 17 who would like to go on quad bikes etc, will the weather be ok for things like that?

I've also heard that food in Agadir is very pricey, can anyone shed light on this? I want it to be a cheapish holiday as finance is tight at the moment.

Thanks.

It will be very hot, mid 30s in August. Depends what weather you enjoy. Make sure wherever you stay has good AC. Also are you female? Are children M/F? Just a friendly warning that Agadir can be difficult for young and unaccompanied woman. Make sure you're suitably insured for quad biking as they might not be as well maintained as in the UK.

generally misty. You would be better off going November - April

I've been in May and October and it was very hot.
I think August will be pretty unbearable.

I didn't find Agadir at all difficult as a woman, it wasn't hassle-y at all.
The food isn't expensive but similar to somewhere like Spain, not cheap.

August would be melting flip flop territory I'm afraid.

It will be very hot. We were there in march and didn't find it expensive, we were told it was really cheap, but as a pp said it was similar to Spain. It is very nice but there isn't a lot to do there imo, there is the beach which is lovely but it's the Atlantic so the sea is quite choppy, in fact it wasn't safe for swimming but that might be different in August.

It will likely be 40C+

there’s a reason is cheap in August

Im travelling with my husband and kids. Unfortunately August is the only time we can go. We do cope well with heat generally but as we want an active holiday it might be too hot.

It will be intolerably hot

Rule it out

So so so many better options!

Was it because the holiday you found was very cheap?

Asvan · 20/04/2026 19:23

Yeah we are on a really tight budget and it came in at a very good price 😪
