Help! Have booked a family holiday this summer in Tenerife at the Gran Melia Palacio de Isora Tenerife... I had researched last summer and saw it was great for families. I'm fully aware it says 5 but I doubt it really is. (We went to a family 5 last year in Portugal and although it was a really lovely hol wasn't a 5 more a 4 BUT none of the Portugal reviews on Trip Advisor were as bad as where we are planning on going in Tenerife...help!)

Please have a read of the reviews here.... and scroll down a good few...

Has anyone been to the Palacio De Isora in Tenerife this year in 2026, perhaps even this Easter 2026?!! What's it like? Is the service that bad? Are the rooms terrible? The food? We are dropping quite a wack on it and currently have only paid the deposit, if it's as dodgy as MANY of the reviews say, there is no way I am paying to go...we will go elsewhere!!! I booked it via a British Airways flight and hotel package and would think they wouldn't alighn with somewhere that has reviews like this?!!

With that in mind any very good all inclusive family friendly resort type hotels you would recommend for a fussy Mum, non-fussy Dad (lol!) a 1 year old and 5 year old?

Thanks so much for reading and potentially helping us avoid.... xx

We went last year. We love the hotel and it has a gorgeous lobby and grounds. Food is pretty nice and lots of à la carte options. The infinity pool is really lovely. There was a noticeable drop in service last year from previous visits but a few members of outstanding staff. What are the bad reviews saying?

We went a couple of years ago and loved it. Really nice food in a variety of restaurants, great entertainment, gorgeous infinity pool and a very good kids playground/mini splash park.

Hotel Suites Villa Maria is also good, lovely rooms and good food but only 1 main restaurant as I recall.

That link takes you to reviews. There are a lot of reviews on how tired the rooms are and bad service meh food. Don't get my wrong, some lovely reviews too..but since I've been keeping an eye on it these last few months, defo more negative reviews so has made me worry! Appreciate you coming back to me, thank you!

Rooms are good, food is good/excellent. Service good. Grounds and pools are great.
What we didn’t like is there are too few adult areas for non red level guests, and that there is no hope of a meal in the à la carte restaurants before 8.30pm if you’re normal all inclusive, as the red level guests can book a week in advance, AI only 2 days.
If you’re a family, you won’t mind all the kids I would guess. We have been 3 times over the last 5 years.

Not been for a few years but it used to be amazing. Look at Hard Rock if you want a good alternative.

We went in March. The hotel is lovely. Smells gorgeous when you walk in. Staff were friendly and helpful. We were happy with our room. Breakfast is good and varied. It gets busy at certain times. I thought the pools looked good - very clean - unfortunately it was a little chilly when we were there! The only bad thing was the restaurants. They looked good but I didn’t realise you would need to book days in advance and we only managed to get a couple of bookings in! We did find a lovely beach side restaurant down the road that I would recommend! - called Sauco - but you probably would need to book there too when it’s busier. If you don’t mind the buffet restaurant then I think you can get in there ok. We tried the cocktail bar (booked) - that was great and the Mexican by the pool for lunch (just rocked up at lunchtime) - food there was lovely. Also tried the evening grill restaurant - food was ok but service there was very slow.

The entertainment was very good - a great variety.

We met people there who have been going there for 10 years - so can’t be that bad!
