Where in Crete or Rhodes?

Where in Crete or Rhodes for somewhere family friendly, quiet but still with shops and restaurants and maybe a nice harbour.

Nice sandy beach is a must.

Previously been to Puerto pollensa and pefkos, alykanas and loved it.

Kissamos near Chania in Crete is lovely.

We love Elounda but there is not a sandy beach unless you stay at Domes.

Lindos on Rhodes although it’s very busy in the day with tourists visiting the acropolis.

Panormos in Crete

Seconding Panormos. We had an amazing holiday there a couple of years ago - three generations.

Georgiupolis in Crete is gorgeous

Following, although primarily for Crete! Was considering Rethymno (we would fly into Heraklion) but then heard it gets suuuper windy to the point you can’t swim. Even though we’d have a car to drive to other beaches that would be a downer with kids. Anyone else hear or experience this?

Chania in Crete is lovely, not too big, sandy beaches close and you can fly into there avoiding Heraklion
