Can anyone recommend a nice, budget package holiday?

We want to go away in August, it will be me, dh and 11yo ds.

Somewhere in Europe, half board would be good.

We’ve previously been to some lovely AI places but our budget this year is around 3k for a week. So it probably won’t be anywhere fancy. But would like somewhere clean and reasonably modern with a nice sandy beach within walking distance.

Can anyone please recommend somewhere that they’ve been that’s budget friendly but still nice?

Have you considered Airbnb near to restaurants etc? Sorry I don’t have any specific recommendations yet, but it’s what we have opted to do due to being restricted to August next year which was a shock to our budget! I couldn’t find any package holidays I was keen on within our budget (I’m very picky) but have found a gorgeous villa.

Which airport would you need to fly from?

Tunisia. We were so dubious when a friend suggested it but wanted to holiday with them so went for it. Been back three times since, it’s great. Really friendly, super safe and very cheap!

My sister, who is fussy and a lover of 5 star breaks, goes on a few holidays each year. In an attempt to rein in her holiday spending a bit, she took her family to Tunisia. She had low expectations but absolutely RAVED about their resort afterwards. And promptly booked again for next year.
OP, I can get the name from her if that would be at all helpful?

I would strongly suggest EasyJet for reasonably priced package holidays, with transfers and luggage included. You can set the filters to half board, all inclusive, whatever.

JMSA this is exactly describing us and Tunisia too. We were very dubious…now total converts! It’s fab and so cheap, the water sports for teenagers etc absolutely brilliants ours have now done scuba diving, water skiing and jet skiing for very low cost! Beautiful beaches, warm sea and hotels that go out of their way to welcome you as they want the tourism.

There’s option in budget for ai including Spain on the TUI website, might be worth holding on until 6 weeks out as they release last minute deals then, my dd has to go in august due to work and has got amazing deals a few days out

Sahara beach is fab. Aqua one also. Pick high stars is my advice!
