I am a single parent to an 11yr DD. We normally go camping with my best friend but I feel like I want a change. I have a week booked off end of July but have no idea what to do. Does anyone have any suggestions please? Dont think I feel brave enough to go abroad.

Budget?

Depending on your child, could you involve them in the booking process? Might be a fun thing for them go and research and suggest things - some kids couldn't be less bothered with that though ,😂

Does she like arts and crafts? The Manor and Ashbury hotels run all kids or craft workshops like t shirt printing and ceramics painting. I had a really nice three-gen mother-daughter break there.

We stayed in Bradford on Avon last year with my 11 year old, did a canal trip, a day to Longleat and a day in Bath. It was a lovely trip the two of us.
