Which resort in Greece am I looking for?

Hi all!

We are hoping to get away for a week in October during the school holidays. We fancy Greece and gather the weather then should still be warm and sunny? Mid 20’s plenty warm enough for us.

We have 2 young kids 4 & 10 so would like a hotel with great daytime and evening entertainment. Ideally with some sort of slides and kids pool too. All inclusive basis (with more than just one buffet style restaurant if possible!), but we’d also like a resort with enough going on within walking distance - little shops, cafes, restaurants and a couple of bars so we have the option to venture out a few times for the odd dinner or drinks in the evening.

We’ve been looking at Rhodes, in particular Lardos or Ixia/Ialyssos area but to be honest I’m still not sure if either of these are a good option. Open to suggestions anywhere in Greece you think might fit the bill - thanks in advance!

Have a look at Aqua Bay in Tsilivi Greece. It’s only 15 mins from the airport too so easy transfer time. You’re right in a resort with loads going on and places to eat and drink but the hotel is AI I think and has a water park attached

In October you might need a heated pool as the air temperature isn't high enough to heat a pool. Not sure if they are easy to find in Greece.

I think you’d need to go south like Crete or Rhodes or even go to Cyprus instead.
I remember my friend going in October before and it was cold and rainy. But I can’t remember which part.

Tbh in October schools hols I’d probably go to the canaries to be safe weather wise.

Crete but it is risky with the weather late in October.

Thank you for all the suggestions! I (maybe naively) assumed Greece would still be nice and warm. A few friends have suggested Turkey, does anyone have any recommendations there?

Crete Rhodes or Kos might still be warm but definitely not hot. The rest of Greece (closer to Athens) will be very hit and miss weather wise h then and the more northern and western islands will be turning autumnal .

I agree Cyprus is a better option for October half term.
