Teen holiday in Tenerife.

Ds who is 19 and not well travelled is going with one mate to Tenerife in a few weeks . They have booked an apartment in Playa de las Américas. I’m a bit worried as I’ve read it can be quite rowdy and full of drugs. He says they are not interested in clubbing but will visit some bars during the evening. Can anyone recommend safer places to visit in the area. I’m so nervous about him going.

He’s 19, he’s an adult. The strip is full of very similar bars. Surely you remember club 18-30 days? Stop reading if you’re working yourself up. Just remind him of the general safety rules ie drink plenty of water, don’t leave drinks unsupervised, stick together, use condoms, don’t fall asleep in the sun hungover without suncream.

He could be going out on a Saturday night in your local town where they do drugs in rowdy places !

Just tell him to be careful and text you to say he’s ok.

There is a strip near the safari centre that is full of music bars some with live entertainment.
Lots of bars all over that are popular. Dubliner to name one. Hard rock is another.
Drugs are everywhere. As long as he keeps his wits about him he'll be ok.
