Where to go with a pool that’s like bath / around 32 degrees water temp!

Holiday to Dubai cancelled for May, looking to go in school holidays somewhere but it has to have a warm pool - my youngest son won’t tolerate a wetsuit but does not like cold water and will last all of 10 minutes and therefore not really a holiday so where has a warm pool in Europe. Splash parks / slides all ok being cold due to the flow of water but where he can play and not be cold. Will need to increase budget due to school holiday prices unless I take out from last two weeks (DC,4) so not legal school age yet for fines etc.

Lalandia in Billund, Denmark. Huge indoor aqua dome. Over the road from Legoland, short walk from Lego House. I'd recommend going in the second half of August as all the Danish schools go back mid August.

@StrictlyAFemaleFemale thanks - that’s good to know re. Dates. I would prefer somewhere all inclusive and hopeful for better weather but it’s contender definitely

Iceland / Reykjavik - the pools are geothermal.

Can it be an indoor pool?

hahabahbag · 06/04/2026 19:18

Don’t bother with normal ai hotels, pools are so cold, the sea is often warmer! Dh says it’s fine but I can’t deal with under 30 degrees

We stayed a couple of times at the Hotel Koala Garden in Gran Canaria and the pools were lovely and warm!

Figrollandgin · 06/04/2026 19:19

Cape Verde - they are having a problem with food poisoning at the moment, but it’s bloody hot that aside!

CandiedPrincess · 06/04/2026 22:04

Stayed in a hotel last summer in Turkey and the pool was like a bath, but that was July, not May so probably not as warm!

Frankie789 · 07/04/2026 05:39

@CandiedPrincess a- looking at going July/Aug now in the hope it’s warmer.

@ThatWaryLimePeer - I’m open to it but preferably not but if I can’t find anything suitable then I will as I’d take easy days in a indoor pool rather than 10 mins outside

Cyprus end of July was like a bath - they actually brought in an ice truck and dumped it in the pool!

Tenerife is hot in May. We stayed at Best Jacaranda in Costa Adeje and one of their outdoor pools is heated. Kids pools were warm anyway due to small amounts of water and the sun.

Egypt?
