Has anyone ever rented out a time share? My mum has 14 nights available that she isn't going to use, and I can select weeks or weekends in a few destinations.
It would be nice to get a few hundred quid for these, but I'd like to know the pitfalls of doing it, and also any tips to make it work well. EG what weeks sell well (I can book a week in Lanzarote or Cornwall in the school summer holidays in 2027 which I'm hoping will be popular)
Some concerns I have:
What if the renters damage anything? Can I get insurance for this?
What scams might I be subjected to?
Where can I list it for rent?
How can I make sure I get paid?
How do I set a reasonable price?
Should I book a 1, 2 or 3 bed place?
