Anyone been to Marrakesh very recently: airport situation

Have heard it can take hours to get through passport control.. is this still the case? Thanks!

Went back end of last year, no problems going either way. Substantially better than experiences I have had at Manchester, Birmingham, and Paris CDG.

Has something changed over the past few months? Went last year and no issues - biggest queue probably the luggage scans needed to leave the airport.

We went three weeks ago - flight got in about 09.30 and we were through passport control in about 20 mins.

Went in January, no problems at passport control before the gate for our afternoon flight.

They were still scanning luggage leaving the airport but not doing it to enter the airport any more. The year before arriving for our return flight I nearly had a heart attack seeing a queue outside the airport, but that wasn't the case most recently.

PS on arrival for passport control this time we had written out the name of our accommodation, as before they had struggled to understand our rendition of the name! Make sure you have your boarding pass and accommodation details to hand to speed things up.

We went in November - took nearly 2.5 from landing to getting through passport control it was absolute carnage
