Hotel recommendations in the Italian Lakes

Does anyone have a recommendation for a hotel in the lakes in Italy. Maybe with a swimming pool, but that might be a stretch. We have a toddler so would love to be in walking distance of a town with restaurants and cafes, and the lake so we don’t need to drive every day.

I can recommend the Hotel La Palma in Stresa in Lake Maggiore. It’s very easy to walk to Stresa for dinner and the hotel food is excellent too. There’s a roof terrace and pool. Fabulous views of the mountains and the lake.

Hotel La Palma in Stresa - Lake Maggiore. Small roof top pool and lovely bar, and lake front pool. Short walk into town with lots of places to eat. Lakeside prom with playgrounds. Wild animal park. Boat trips to the Borromean Islands. Stunningly gorgeous area. https://www.hlapalma.it/en/sky-bar/

Sky Bar

Prendete l'ascensore e lasciatevi incantare dallo spettacolo che vi troverete di fronte quando si apriranno le porte al settimo piano.

Hotel Nettuno, Bardolino. Lakeside hotel with pool. Bardolino is just gorgeous and within walking distance of other towns.

You don't need a car there. I have been twice and we used the ferry to visit different towns around the lake.

The southern end of the lake is flat and there is a paved path by the lake in Garda (town) that runs through to Bardolino.
