Family Coach Trips - Yay or Nay?

Hi,

I was wondering how everyone felt about coach breaks in general for families? Doing some research into what would make a great Coach Trip Operator aimed at families.
From my own experience the biggest concern I always have is cost and space, but what do you all think? Has anyone been on a family trip to disneyland for instance or somewhere similar?

I’d only do this if it had sleeper cabins: bunk beds, separate rooms. And if it was significantly cheaper than driving myself.

I would have considered it when my daughter was younger, if costs were low enough. Probably UK rather than abroad. I don't drive, train travel is expensive. You'd need WiFi and a toilet on the coach!

Honestly, I’m not a huge fan of family coach trips. Renting a car or going on a self-drive trip is usually a much better option. You get to choose the car that suits your family, enjoy more comfort, and travel at your own pace without being tied to a fixed schedule. It’s also often more cost-effective, especially if you’re splitting expenses, and you can explore off-the-beaten-path places that coaches rarely go. Overall, self-driving gives you freedom, flexibility, and a much more relaxed experience.
