Help me decide - Alta or Levi?

I’ve just come back from Tromso and loved it so looking for something similar for next year.

I’m debating between Alta or Levi.

Alta - mid-late January - early enough so can still see whales, but then there’s not a lot of light so not sure

Levi - mid-Feb (bit more day light)

I want northern lights, dog sledding, reindeer sledding, snow mobiles, etc.

I can’t decide.

Or any other suggestions please (not Iceland though please, I've already been)

I've not been to Levi. I adore Pyhä though. So peaceful, beautiful and generally perfect.

Feb is a great time to go.

Maybe a 2 destination trip - I’m not a fan of being right out in the wilds for too long, I thought about Levi as it’s a little bit busier, but could combine a few days in Levi with a couple of nights out in the wilds.

I really don’t want to hire a car. I drove in Iceland in January and just about had a breakdown about it.

100% Levi - it’s my happy place!

It has that good mix of a village with some great places to eat, good operators of trips and a huge amount of activities, whilst also being not far from the middle of nowhere
