looking at Duinrell or Terspegelt or any other suggestions…

we have 2 kids, 4 & 6 year old

will most likely get ferry over to Rotterdam so any recommendations in Netherlands/ Belgium

ideally would have a pool, beach/ lake and plenty of activities for young kids.

thank you

I have been eyeing up Duinrell for a while but never been. It looks great for kids that age. I have stayed in Eurocamp in France and my family love the vibe and activities.

I can recommend Terspgelt , lots for the kids to do. It has a beach and lake. If the weather is bad there is an indoor beach with loads of water areas. Next to it is an indoor pool complex with 3 different pools in it.
During the day they have various shows and games for all ages. This year they should have a new games and supermarket building ready to open. There is a bike track and a small farm.
The nearby town of Eersel is lovely, the ice cream chocolate shop is amazing. I would download the app to give you an idea of what they have on site.

TerSpegelt is great, I went last year with a 5 and an 8 year old.

We’ve also enjoyed Beekse Bergen. I’ve heard good things about the Dutch CentreParcs, and staying at Efteling, from friends.

If you want to go to France La Croix du Vieux Pont ticks all your boxes, and is close enough for a day at Disney, though I’d highly recommend Parc Asterix.

We have been to Duinrell and loved it. However, while its good for kids of all ages, I'd say its slightly better for slightly older kids. Maybe save it for a couple of years or so. (but if you go you WILL love it and probably conclude you must come back again when they are a bit bigger)

Have you looked at Beekse Bergen? If not add that to your short list.
With the safari park and speiland as well. Spieland is amazing for kids of your age.

Also if you choose Duinrell I suggest booking direct , rather than with EC,better access to the pools and far superior accomodation, in areas of the park that Duinrell themselves make sure they look after. You will get better wifi, (as Duinrell makesure all the wifi boosters are strategically placed for their own accomodation) and your own numbered parking space

We liked la croix du vieux pont too. It had loads on site but was set out really well and I remember it as the first family holiday we did with kids where we actually got a chance to relax and enjoy it too.

You could take a look at the Little Clogs Holidays website, they have lots of ideas for sites aimed at young children in the Netherlands and Belgium, including Eurocamp and Landal sites amongst others.

Also look at the Allcamps website. They are an agent and compare prices from all the different holiday providers. You might find the same campsite is cheaper if you book with Roan for example who are a sister company of Eurocamp.

Highly recommend a trip to Efteling, it's magical for those ages.

We absolutely loved Duinrell! My children are slightly older though but there was plenty for little ones too. Rides, waterpark, you can hire bikes and cycle to the beach, day trip to Amsterdam. You don't need to leave the site at all if you don't want to but we like to explore too. There is a pancake house onsite and another right at the gates. The town is quite lovely too, an amazing ice cream parlour and few places to eat. We got pizzas delivered one night when we were very tired.

We loved Duinrell with four kids aged 4-14. It is 30 mins from Schipol to Leiden, then a short taxi ride (or bus to Wassenar then walk). You can either book direct, or go through one of the Haven / eurocamp types. Rides for all ages, good nature type stuff to do (e.g. cycle to local beach) and has a good playpark for once rides have finished. Tikibad (the water park) also good but timed entrances. Wassenar itself is nice to wander around and get an ice cream (or shop at their supermarket which is a lot cheaper than shop on site). Also a shout out for Port Aventura in Salou which has Costa Caribe next door (15 mins from Reus airport). HTH x
