Booking first family holiday abroad: travel agent or DIY with sensory needs?

I have never been able to afford to go on holiday abroad with my kids but I have some money this year and would like to book something.
The problem is, I have no clue how to do it. Will it be a lot more expensive using a travel agent? Are travel agents still a thing?

I need something that is close to amenities but not crazy busy as my kids have sensory issues and become overwhelmed easily.

I would definitely use a travel agent in your shoes.
They factor things in like decent flight times and transfers and can talk to you about the different options.
I never used a travel agent before I had a family but I have found that they are able to find deals that are cheaper than ones I have seen online.
The good thing is there are no hidden costs. Things like baggage on flights quickly adds up.
I have used Dawson and Sanderson but probs others are as good. I just go in and speak to them face to face about what I want.
Good luck, I hope you find a wonderful holiday.

Definitely recommend a package rather than DIY booking own flights, accommodation, transfers all separately as that really adds up and nightmare if one bit falls through..

Jet2 holidays are great so I would start there.

Menorca is highly recommended for young families due to short flights and very short transfer time, also lovely beaches etc. very family oriented.

So I would just go on jet2 enter your dates, filter for menorca and pick your fav! There will only be a few so really reduces overwhelm
