As above, I’m looking for any time next year- maybe immediately after Christmas 2026

Barbados - I visit a town on the west coast for a month or so each year - family and friends come out to visit as the house is big enough, but I am happy enough to spend time there on my own as well.

Erm, this is a forum with actual people you’re asking, not AI. If you want “soul” maybe give more relevant details and have some manners?

Probably some idea of budget would be good too, but what you're asking for tends to either be very expensive or have some compromises, eg the food will be adequate at best.

I stayed at the White Suites Playa Blanca Lanzarote last year and while I had HB, they did do AI. Its a medium sized hotel, not huge but not small either.

The rooms and pool were nice and there was a heated pool. But I went out walking, on trips and out for lunch every day so AI would have been a waste.

The food was OK but a little dull and repetitive. But as I'd had a proper lunch each day I just had a small amount and a drink in the restaurant each evening, but HB was hardly anything more than B&B so worth having.

There's loads of organised coach tours and public transport is good to visit the rest of the island.

I went to Gran Caneria - The Rocomar in Puerto Rico, as a solo.
I didn’t see the point of all inclusive as I was in an aparthotel. I had a fridge, hob and microwave but hotel maid service everyday. Supermarket was cheap and fabulous and even with tons of alcohol better value! The families all tend to use the AI hotels so it was relatively child free which was great for the pool. A good few singles amongst mostly couples and friends in twos. Loads to by yourself and you can easily eat alone.

It will be good weather in the winter too. Apparently it’s just about to go under new ownership so no idea about next year.

I went to Grand Palace Hurghada on my own, I was the only British guest and I really enjoyed it. The excursions on offer were excellent.

I've stayed at Paradise Park in Tenerife a couple of times. It has an adults only roof terrace which is so peaceful and quiet. It has a small bar up there plus a little plunge type pool with gorgeous views.

It's a typical AI Spanish hotel with a mixture of nationalities.

It is a family hotel but during January will be quieter. It's at the top of the strip down into Los Cristianos so you can walk down there and feel quite safe. Playa de las Americas is also walkable or a short taxi ride.

The food wasnt brilliant here but budget allowing you can always eat out a few times.

Id return just for the rooftop pool.
