Unfortunately, we are caught up in the Middle East flights issue that is affecting thousands of others it seems.
Our flight is with Qatar Airways on 22nd March to Singapore via Doha. I doubt it will go ahead, but cancellation is not an option (for us) as we have things booked and paid for in Singapore and beyond.
Qatar is saying we can either get a refund or reschedule, which can be done via the app. As we are covered by UK261, I believe we are also entitled to a re-route via a non-ME country with a different airline (BA, KLM, Singapore Airlines etc). This is the problem - you can only ask for a re-route with an actual person in Qatar Airways, but there is absolutely no way to get in touch with them. I was on hold for four hours and the call disconnected. Their web chat is telling you to call. I have tried Twitter, FB Messenger, WhatsApp to no avail.
If we had a travel agent, would they be able to take our booking over (for a fee) so we can get this sorted?
Also should have said - don't want to cancel and rebook a different flight as the flight prices are absolutely crazy - between 2x and 3x normal fares at the mo.
