End of march inspiration

Just looking for some inspiration, where to go at the end of march?

I was due to travel to Asia next week but flights have been cancelled due to situation in middle east and all other routes are extortionate so have postponed that trip. Solo female, I have 2 weeks and travelling from UK. Would love some sun but not necessity if things to explore. Considering a couple of European city breaks or potentially NYC but been there not too long ago. Love to eat, explore and walk loads but also happy reading a book in the sun. All of Asia pretty much a no go so looking for some other ideas that are safe to go solo!

Why is all of Asia pretty much a no go? I’m flying there for a solo trip on Sunday.

Just due to the cost of flights now! I can't find anything within a reasonable cost when I've been looking even factoring in going via London, Paris etc

We were in same situation and flight prices had gone astronomical but glad we can get full refunds and not have disruption.

We have gone for La Gomera but it's a much cheaper holiday than Asian one as didn't want to do last minute one not sure of. It's low 20s there, lots of hiking, more 1 week than 2. Azores are lovely but bit cooler, very safe but lots of little flights.

We are going to the Carribbean in a couple of weeks, specifically to Jamaica because we are in the north and there are direct flights, the flight prices have actually not changed that much so far. I was expecting an influx of people who were going East to start booking, but hasn't seemed to happen. We are going on a B&B basis and expecting food to be quite expensive. Imagine total spend would be more than a Thailand trip. Other sun options that are not the canary islands, the Gambia offers sun much more cheaply, but I think it's a confined to the hotel type holiday and I haven't been myself. Madeira has always appealed to me, but weather looks a bit variable. We did Malta in March, really enjoyed from a sightseeing perspective was not a beach holiday. Outside the box options somewhere like Buenos Aires?
