I am hoping to go to Menorca in the first week of June on my own. Can anyone recommend a location with good small hotels and beach access? Also on a bus route as I don't want to hire a car but would like to be able to get into Mahon and/or Ciutadella.

Would you be interested to camp? we went from Mallorca and stayed one night in the camping (I think there are 2 in total in the island) and it was great and affordable (we had our own tent). I've also heard that Binibeca (next to Mahon) is a lovely place to stay. Maybe check these sites in case they might help you as well https://www.ferryhopper.com/en/destinations/spain/menorca (general info for Minorca and where to stay) , https://www.campingdirect.com/en/camping-minorca (the camping sites)

We stayed in Cala Galdana once which is a nice little resort with a beach. It's got good bus links to other parts of the island. We did go to Ciutadella on the bus which is worth a daytrip. The best thing is it's got so many walks to do including the Cami de Cavalls so you can walk straight from CG along to a number of other beaches or get a bus a way out and walk back.

Cala'n Bosch was lovely.

I’ve stayed in Cala Galdana and Punta Prima, both of which have great bus services. You can also get a land train from Punta Prima to Binibeca mentioned above.

We stayed in this hotel in Cala n Bosch, it had direct beach access and was lovely. The bus stop was just outside I think but definitely nearby to both Mahon and Cuitedella.
The resort has a lovely safe beach and a pretty marina for evenings out.

Punta prima is lovely and on the bus route. We've stayed there twice.

Almost all of the main resorts are on bus routes, and it's pretty easy to get to the main towns.

Our favourite resorts are Son Bou for the views and huge beach, and Playas de Fornells, for the peace and quiet, and how pretty it is. It's also close-ish to the fishing village of Fornells, which is lovely.

I’ve been to Punta Prima a few times, was lovely. Yoga teacher loves Son Bou.
The buses were great from Punta Prima.
