Keukenhof: nearby Hotel or B&B

Going to Keukenhof in early April.

went before about 10 years ago and travelled to it from Amsterdam.

Was thinking this time of bypassing Amsterdam and staying nearby so can visit more than one day but where ?

Do not need an entire apartment or house and will not be hiring a car - happy to get a taxi to/from if very nearby Keukenhof - any recommendations please ?

I don't have accommodation recommendations, but how about staying in either Haarlem or Leiden, instead of Amsterdam? Both lovely cities in their own right and the bus journey to Keukenhof would be shorter, though admittedly around the same length as the train + bus option from Amsterdam. Accommodation may be a little cheaper too.

Or if staying in Lisse, right near Keukenhof, you'd be within walking distance. In Lisse, there's also the Black Tulip Museum which looks interesting. Didn't have time to visit that myself when I was at Keukenhof.
Whatever you choose, have a lovely time.

There is an Ibis next to Leiden station which is fine. Leiden itself is lovely - like a mini Amsterdam - and buses go from there to Keukenhof. Easy also to go to Amsterdam from there too.

I had booked Golden tulip in Leiden last year, we were planning to visit the weekend of the flower parade and also to try and catch the night flower parade, but in the end I couldn't the week off work and we didn't end up going. I looked at various options but with not having a car this seemed the best option to me. Please come back and tell us what you book though, so I can store the info for future use :).

We stayed in the stayokay hostel nearby which was great for a family. It allowed us to be up early to get there as it opens at 8ish. It was really busy by 1030 and mad by the time we left at 3.30pm. I recommend just going early on.

I second the Ibis opposite Leiden station. Easy journey from Schiphol. We also took the bus direct to Keukenhof from the station, although there are cheaper local buses with a bit of a walk at the end. It’s best to book the bus in advance. I’m not sure that Keukenhof really needs more than a day. Leiden is lovely and easy for day trips to The Hague/Delft/Rotterdam if you have more time. Don’t go too near the beginning of April or there won’t be much in bloom.

We always stay at the airport Ramada when we go to the Amsterdam area. It has great rates and you're on the edge of nice small town (Badhoevedorp) which has just enough places to eat. When Keukenhof is open there is a bus from Schiphol to the park - from memory it's about €35 for entry and the return bus trip.

we are going by Eurostar to Amsterdam.

I booked a BnB in Lisse for four nights as I premarily wanted to see the tulip float parade. I reserved it MONTHS ago. I don't know what availability will be like now.
We are flying into Schiphol and will just use the local buses/trains to get around or hire bikes.

The one in Noordwijk or is there a nearer one? Did you have a car?
