Filkadiki or the Algarve for holiday with teens?

We’re trying to book a summer holiday for a family of four with two teen boys aged 16 and 17. We would like to learn to dive and do other water sports. All inclusive would be ideal but near a small town. Some low key night life but nothing wild. Does anyone have any experience / thoughts or hotel recommendations? Happy to consider other destinations. Thank you!

Where is Filkadiki? Do you mean Halkidiki?

If you want a watersports holiday with teens then I would look at Neilson, Mark Warner or smaller similar set ups like Beyond Beach or Nikiana Beach club (these are both in Greece but not Halkidiki). I’m not sure which of these are near a small town, I think the Beyond Beach Stira Bay location is and some of the MW/Neilsons are but you’d have to ask them which, or check location on google maps. The watersports tends to be focused on sailing, windsurfing and abit of kayak/paddleboard when the wind is lower.

Scuba duving won’t be included in these, but can often be arranged with a local dive centre for extra. Diving in the Med is not much to write home about though IMO.

Algarve is good for surfing I believe as it’s a much wavier sea so depends what your teens are into.

Assuming you mean Halkidiki? I wouldn’t bother learning to dive in the Algarve.

Thanks both. I meant Rhodes but copied in the hotel name instead! Just to be clear, we’re not looking for great diving, just a diving school.
