I'm looking for a small boutique hotel in this area of Italy to spend a week in July while my children are away.

Grateful for hotel suggestions and places to see.

Many thanks.

Hotel Vis a Vis in Sestri Levante is very nice. Gorgeous views from the roof top bar. Swimming pool. Easy to get up and down the coast by train.

@MissAmbrosiathank you. I was hoping you'd post as I've taken your advice before! That hotel looks fabulous. Do you know anything similar between Nice and Genoa?

Watching with interest.

The only place we stayed that side was Residence Oliveto in Ceriale. It was nice (with child) but not boutique. We really liked Loano, which had a lovely old town centre and marina. And Albenga which had lots of fin de ciecle type villas. I've looked at places in Diano Marina, Cervo and Pietre Ligure, all on train line, but no person recommendations.

I recently stayed in the Torino Lingotto Congress, and it was fabulous. Lots to do and see within walking distance.
