Im Looking to go to Majorca for a week in May , I've been to Spain and Ibiza a few times and always had beach / pool weather ( i remember ibiza we had half a day of rain) in May. But I've read some old threads on here and I'm wondering if I need to go the last week in May , I was looking to go the first week. I've got two young children with us youngest is just one , so don't want it really hot warm enough to go the beach/ play in pool , but we also like to explore and hate it too hot. Is it too risky to go first week in May ?
I'm booking a hotel with a heated pool.

First week in May is risky. It could be lovely but could also be not great / mixed. I would go later if I could.

If you don't have school age kids then avoid the last week of May as it's half term then and likely much more expensive.

i reckon it will be hot enough then but maybe do mid May if possible , we went in the last week and it was soo hot like 36

Thanks everyone , we are stuck to first and last as my DH is abroad with work in between . So would have to be the first or last week , so as someone mentioned it is a lot more the last week !

Really, don't overthink this. Weather is a statistical continuum and doesn't know that humans have imposed a calendar on it. It is 95% likely to be lovely and sunny and warm on any given day in Majorca in the first week of May, and 96% likely in the last week. After that you are at the mercy of the same randomness that cancels flights and causes your car to break down on the way to the airport, but if we all worried about those, none of us would ever go anywhere. 🙏
