Ha Long Bay Cruise from Hanoi to Da Nang - recommendations and what’s included

Please recommend 2 night cruise from Hanoi to Da Nang please and what was included. There seem to be so many and read reviews that you must get the right one. Thanks

We went with Orchid Cruises

Can’t remember who we went with but the longer (1-2nights) cruises are the best as you experience so much more than the day cruises

do get up early to do t’ai chi/yoga on deck in the morning, so beautiful

The cruises do not go from Hanoi to Danang.

You have to travel by land from Hanoi to Ha Long port - usually in a minivan owned by the cruise company. Takes a couple of hours.

The cruises last 2d/1n or 3d/2n, travel round the bay amongst the scenery and return to Halong Bay port.

You can then travel back to Hanoi and on to Danang, or you could travel straight from Halong Bay to Danang - one option would be a flight from Hai Phong to Danang. Or you could possibly get trains but it will be a very long journey.

for the cruise, definitely choose a company which goes to Bai Tu Long Bay or Lan Ha Bay rather than Ha Long Bay itself - Halong Bay is now very crowded and polluted. The other bits look the same but are much quieter and cleaner. My recommendation is Indochina Junk who go to Bai Tu Long. I think Remea (or Renea??) does too. The Lan Ha bay tours usually include a day stop on Cat Ba island with a hike or bike ride if that appeals.

I preferred a 2 night cruise as you get more time in the peaceful areas.
