Coach transfers - has anyone actually done it?

Hi all,

I am going away with my 12 month old. We have coach transfers included; it is a 45 minute transfer. Apparently I sit my baby on my lap - has anyone actually done this? I also wondered about use of a baby carrier during the journey?

I see lots of people talk about hiring cars and bringing own carseats instead, but it adds significant cost to the holiday!

Has anyone actually done a coach transfer or does everyone hire cars?

We’ve done it and had my 15 month old on my lap - in Portugal. It felt perfectly safe (like being on a bus really) but if you’re not comfortable you can always take a car seat with you or book a private transfer with a company who provides them.

Yes I’ve done it it’s fine. No different but much more comfortable to using a regular bus at home.

Depends where but have used taxi transfers with small kids in past. The TO may offer it as an upgrade. Some you can book a carseat or take your own.
