Hi There,
Was mortified the other day when reading a thread about kids taking their arms out of car seats and how none of you allowed this and enforced it etc. I felt like a really lousy mum!
Suffice to say that spoke to woman at toysrus and ds needs new car seat as he is 37 pounds and 3 and a half and he is wriggling out of shoulder straps as he is uncomfy-(but he has always done it?!). Was going to buy Graco maxi comfort seat at £60 but apparently this has been slated by Which despite it winning mum & baby awards etc, going by some old threads I have looked at.
So have decided to go for maxi cosi rodi xr or britax evolva2/3. Am just trying to get either as cheap as possible, as quickly as possible. At the moment only have £75 in bank account (until Thurs) which does not quite cover any I have seen (apart from RECONDITIONED ones on Ebay ). Anyone got any promo codes or suggestions???
Would be very grateful.

cheekymonk, you are not alone. my dd has done this for a while now. i have bought 2 second hand seats off ebay. they were close by so i could actually go and look at them without parting with any money till i was satisfied.
i reasoned there are not many people who would sell on a damaged car seat.
we have had no problems with them and cost less than half the price of new ones.

Kiddicare.com.
They may be last year's colours/patterns but they'll be new and therefore safe. I've bought all mine from there.

I now see that even these seats I have chosen aren't faultless and they are so much money!!!
I agree you would like to think noone would sell a damaged seat on Ebay but I have previously written off a car when ds was in it. Thank God he was in the back and in a decent car seat.
There is just so much guilt if I don't buy more expensive model!

Or can you buy a second hand one from a friend? So you know it hasn't been in an accident?

Yes I bought last one off kiddicare.com. Am having another look now. Thank you x

Got a maxi cosi rodi in the end. DS sat on 3 and that was his favourite. Wish I could have afforded newer versions but am happy in knowledge I have safe car seat.
