Nice weekend away for couples

Hi all just looking for some ideas, looking to book a long weekend away for a couple for around August/September time. Preferably not in the UK but nothing too far either as its only going to be a short stay, no budget and no preferences really just nothing that involves too much walking, somewhere that isnt too long of a travel from airport would be nice also 😊

We used to go to Nice in Autumn.
Beautiful weather.
Not as busy.
The airport has a bus to the centre, fairly short journey.
Lovely walks round the old port or along the Promenade des Anglais.
Not too taxing.

If you don’t mind it being hot, Palma in Majorca. Plentiful flights, close to the airport, gorgeous old town and beach if you feel like it.

Palma is lovely, amazing food and architecture. Got beaches if you fancied a walk or dip. Lots of flights from UK with a short flight.

We had a fab time in Spilt last year, amazing ancient sites and bars and restaurants. People v friendly. A lot quieter than Dubrovnik. Also beaches if needed!

Thank you all for the suggestions, I will have a look at all of them, france did cross my mind as it's not somewhere we have been before but flights seem to be far and few, maybe that's just from my closest airport so I may have better luck flying from a different location, appreciate the replies 😊
