Easter getaway with 5yo - help!

Left a bit last minute but would like to escape somewhere for a week for DS (5yo) - he has ASD but loves travel and used to flying. I had thought about going to New York for a week but now having second thoughts because of the jet lag - DS has melatonin to help him sleep and I think anything that throws him out of whack - jet lag will likely trigger meltdowns. If we were in America for longer I could probably justify the trip.
Alternatively I thought about Majorca and a week with some sunshine, on the beach - he loves sand, rock pools (if there are any) maybe basing ourselves in Soller or Palma. I work crazy hours so really would like something that feels like a break.
But I'm open to suggestions. We live in Switzerland so have spent alot of the season in ski resorts so don't want more of that.
It's also my 40th around Easter but I've been working so much not had much time to plan anything.

As Easter is early, how about the canaries? I can recommend magic life fuerteventura which has an adjacent beautiful sandy beach, multiple restaurants and there was fish in the sea hanging around little rocky bits. Warmer than the med usually. The public bus stops outside and so did the bus to various attractions. TUI own it, many British and Germans but also most of the rest of Europe too, good multi cultural mix, the English vs German silent disco and reps dance off was particularly amusing
