Toddler friendly holiday

Hello there,

I have always loved travelling and warm holidays. I haven't been abroad since 2023. I now have a toddler. He will be 19 monthsish by June. Looking to go away end of June and/or beginning of September.
What are people's toddler friendly recommendations? Would need to be budget friendly. Very open to the type of holiday - just want it to be relatively toddler friendly!

Many thanks

Jessie

I’d go to Menorca. June or September is an ideal time because it’s not too hot, and not overly busy because the children are at school. The sea is warmer in September though. The flight is very short, about 2hrs, and they’re mostly day time flights, the island is very small so transfers are short. The whole island is family friendly, the beaches are beautiful and safe, too.

I haven’t been with toddlers for years, though, because it’s just dh and I now, butt the Royal Son Bou Family Club is very popular and is always recommended in groups I’m in.

Somewhere that is close to travel to (toddler travelling was my toughest holiday experience....) with a pool, lots to do outdoors, a beach etc.
Cornwall springs to mind...or a centre parks type place.

Guernsey could be lovely for a bucket-and-spade job with a kid that age - it's compact and easy to get around.

My other choice for that age would be somewhere in the Alps. For choice I'd do a lake not too far from Innsbruck - the zoo there is excellent - and there's loads to do around the lakes while still being quite chilled. If you can stretch to a Kinderhotel it would be a lovely experience but we've had a fab time self-catering at Achensee or Zell-am-See.

Eurocamp!! This will be our fifth year in a row now, there’s so much choice of sites. Our children are 4 and 2, and we’ve had some great holidays. There’s a filter on the website you can choose for baby/toddler friendly. We’ve done a couple in France, Italy and Luxembourg. You can get some great deals if you go outside of school holidays.
