Best eurocamps near a town

Hi,

We’re looking to book a eurocamp this year, having gone a couple of years ago. We have three small children, so family friendly essential, but we’d also like to be near a nice town for meals out etc. Previously we stayed in a lovely campsite, but the surroundings weren’t great, so keen to avoid this if possible. We will have a car with us.

Thanks

St Avit is near Le Bugue which has a market, restaurants. There’s also a decent amount to do in the area depending what you are interested in.

Hope it’s not rude of me to mention both Yelloh! and Huttopia as companies doing the same as Eurocamp. We prefer Yelloh! for value for money.

There’s also Odalys, we’ve stayed in two of their sites which are brick and mortar rather than lodge style.

To answer your thread, there’s an Huttopia in the south of Arcachon, about 20 minutes walk north gets you to the seafront.

There’s an Odalys at Rivedoux Plage on Ile de Re.

Theres a Yelloh! In Luc sur Mer just along from Caen with a great heated pool if you don’t fancy the sea!

Siblu La Carabasse and Club Farret are both IN Vias Plage - so everything within walking distance - beach, Luna Park, Minigolf, shops, bars and restaurants.

We’ve done a few near Sarlat which is lovely for food, shopping and a bit of culture

Also like those near Valras Plage - beach, swimming and tat near to Narbonne and Bezier - which cost €1 on the bus from VP

Eurocamp have vans at Prairies de la mer, in Port Grimaud, but you can also book directly with the campsite.
its right on the fabulous beach and you can walk along the beach into Port Grimaud, which is like a Little Venice. Great markets and boat trips around the port and across to St Tropez. Buses also available to Monaco.
We have stayed there twice but now take our Motorhome to the neighbouring sites which are cheaper for us, but for renting a van or chalet I would go again.

Not been but we are staying in Del Garda this year, in lake Garda. Which is 10-15 mins walk to Pescheria. I think there a couple of euro camps in the area (Bella Italia etc)

snoopyfanaccountant · 20/02/2026 17:04

Des Menhirs in Carnac.
