Off to Madrid in April with DH, will have 4 full days there. What are your top tips, whether cultural, gastronomic or sartorial?

We went a few years ago, & had great difficulty finding dinner.
I suggest booking restaurants in advance.

The Secret Garden (El Jardin de Salvador Bachiller) is lovely for brunch. Chocolate and churros at San Gines. Calamari sandwiches at la Ideal. Go to see Guernica. Free walking tour. Hop on hop off bus is a waste of money. Tapas at La Casa del Abuelo. Mercado de San Miguel. Roof top cocktails. El Retiro park. Debod temple. Royal Palace.
