Christmas holiday

I know it's along way off but I was wondering has anyone gone away with kids at Christmas? If so how was it I'm thinking of a log cabin for next Christmas but I don't know anyone who as gone away for Christmas, I just wondered if anyone has would share their experiences.

Done it a few times to hot places, cold and in between. Loved it!

We rarely spend Christmas home.
Usually somewhere hot. I think the real highlights were South Africa and Jordan (not the same year)

We’ve done it multiple times. I loved spending Christmas in the snow.

We’d open stockings, sledge, play board games and then eat where we could find a table. It’s refreshing not having to have the traditional Christmas, although I know many enjoy it
