Can anyone recommend a eurocamp or similar where we can go with our dogs.

Im a solo mum with a 9yr old and really want a family holiday with our dogs.

Will be in August then we have plenty of time.

This will be our first adventure like this so I’m apprehensive but if other have done it then I’m up for it.

Thanks

I’m assuming you live in the UK but want to holiday with your child and dogs in Europe? Are your dogs already vaccinated for rabies as well as the usual UK jabs? The pet passports are pretty expensive (at least they were when I relocated with our animals 15 years ago). Eurocamp accepts dogs in many of their camps but usually only in caravans, not in tents.

yes we are UK. Thinking of a caravan type. Happy to get the dogs ready it’s more of it’s a doable experience alone with dogs.

Eurocamp wouldn't be possible as they only allow 1 dog per booking but you could try another similar provider or even look at sites directly.

In terms of been on the site, it really depends what sort of holiday you'd be looking for and what to do during day time.
Many sites have rules about dogs not been left unaccompanied in the accomodation so if would depend if children old enough to use pools independently while you stayed with dog or if there is outside space close to pool areas for you to sit with dogs. All swimming pool area, parks etc tend to be dog free. Also most beaches in high season.

When we have been to Eurocamps or similar (eg Yelloh, Hu Openair) previously, we have seen people with their dogs, and my husband has said “oh wouldn’t it be nice to bring the dog?” And I say “no!” I don’t think you are allowed to leave them unattended in the accommodation, so you’d have to take them everywhere with you, but they’re not allowed round the pool, so then you can’t supervise your kids round the pool. Not to mention the heat. I know not all camps are in super hot regions, but we happen to have been places that have got up to about 35 degrees in the summer, and I just can’t imagine having the dog out and about in that heat.

La Garangoire in the Vendee has a dog exercise field and also has huge grounds for walking plus tons of activities for kids. Book with them direct - they speak good English in the office or Eurocamp and Canvas are there.
