Currently in Singapore and want to go see the gardens in the bay tonight and just wondered if anyone had any recommendations for viewing points or bars.

Go to the Supertree Grove for the lights show in the evening. You can just sit on the floor/benches to watch the lights, that’s what everyone does. A lot of people were lying down on the floor when I went!

We just laid down under the lights, everyone is on the grass and surroundings areas. Enjoy!!

Thanks a lot of people say you should be high up to appreciate it

In my experience, being on the ground underneath was so much better.

Just found out there is no light show tonight so do we just go anyway and do we need to buy tickets ?

There is no entrance fee for the light and sound show unless that has changed in the last 6 months?
I agree that the best experience is at ground level - you can go up to the "tree walk" platform but the light show is better seen from below.

You only pay to enter the 2 domes; cloud forest and flower domes and the walk way, no need for a ticket to wander the gardens at ground level. It's been quite a while since I did the paid aspects of the gardens, but we got tickets on the day, it might be more popular now as I have seen people say they pre-booked.

I was there 2 weeks ago and there was no need to book tickets in advance for the domes. (We were there on a Monday). The light show was free and best seen lying on the ground at Supertree Grove. The OP says it’s not showing tonight but if you can see it another night, I’d recommend it. It was beautiful.
