I am torn between two hotels for a 10 night break at the beginning of July, The Barut Goia or Side Star Elegance. A long shot I know but has anyone been and can advise? We will be 3 adults so need a separate sleeping area which both have. Location wise the Side Star looks a bit better but the reviews on the Goia sound much better. Can anyone help!!

We have stayed twice at the side star elegance but do not know the barat hotel. The SSE is absolutly fine, good position, walkable to the museum and harbour. Food is buffet style but a good variety. Family loved the swimming pools and spa. We go in the winter when it is very good value for mony. Like all hotels in the area the clientele is largely german and russian.

I have stayed at the Barut Goia! It was great actually, there was a separate living room, nice bathroom, we had a garden room so lovely sunbeds and just walked off the veranda into the quiet pool area.

2 pools, one loud and one quiet. Selection of different bars and restaurants.

We loved the beach and beach bar, took 2 mins to get there on the hotel bus.

It's possible to walk to Side old town but we tended to get a cab there and walk back when less hot.

Thank you! I'm still not sure haha. I can get a Suite in both hotels. The Side star elegance is appealing as it is beach front but I'm worried it's a bit too big.
We do enjoy evening entertainment so I wonder which one's best for that? Aaaaggghh this is so difficult. It's our one holiday so I really want to get it right.

We were there in the winter and the only entertainment we went to was a piano recital which we enjoyed. There is an outside theatre which was used during the summer and it looked as though it would be very atmospheric. Sorry I cant be more helpful.

Probably 50% of the nights at the goia had good entertainment and the other half it was alright. One night they did a weird mr and Mrs game so we made sure we went out 🤣

No use at all op but following… I cant choose a holiday to go on either.

We have stayed at the Barut Goia and were very impressed. It’s small enough to not be overwhelming but big enough to have a good selection of food etc. We stayed in a suite and it was great. Best accommodation we have ever found in any hotel. The separate bedroom was great and the balcony was really lovely.
