@Giulemani
My dsis lives Chania side, here's a few of my fave spots.
*Kalyves, fab beach, beach bars, restaurants, its a village but more like a small town.
*Lake Kournas a freshwater lake, has pedalos, tirtles, tavernas, absolutely beautiful
*Almyrida a village with a lovely beach and it has a shallow natural pool, fab for a little one
*Octopus baya stunning rocky cove
*Georgopoulos sandy beaches, bursting with shops and tavernas, a harbour and a river.
*Samaria Gorge one of Europe's longest canyons, it takes approx 7 hrs to walk it so maybe not good for the little one.
The whole area is dotted with little villages and tavernas

We love Crete. Usually stay in georgiopoulos because of the sandy beaches, variety of tavernas ( some with their own pool so you can swim with lunch) plus easy access to Lake Kournas and visiting chania and rethymnon - usually in the late afternoon evening rather than during the day especially if it’s hot

yes my plan is to visit elafonissi, preveli beach and stay near plakias maybe. gergioupolos for lake kournas and rethymno. and maybe spend same days in kiani resort and near chania old town..
