Channel Tunnel queues?

Ive just realised that the new customs/ passport controls have come in recently. I’m due to travel this week and I’m trying to work out what the timings are going to look like? Has anyone used the channel tunnel in the last couple of weeks and how has it been?

This week midweek or weekend? Weekend will be busy as it’s Feb half term so lots of people driving to France for skiing.

Thursday so hoping to avoid the worst of the rush

I've not been since the new rules but have seen the area set aside for the new checks.
However Le Shuttle is pretty much always hideous at running to time. I've started treating it as a check in time and then they'll put you on a train. That way I don't get cross if there is a long delay

we missed our train due not being able to get out of car park on th English side and through border control - it took us 2 hours to get through! Utter mayhem.

When was this?
We went on the tunnel yesterday. Sailed right through at 11am. Took less than an hour. They didn't have the fingerprint thing up and running either. Same coming back on the French side. Slightly busier but still got through in under an hour.

As an example, our train from Folkestone was at 11:22.
We arrived an hour before at 10:22. We got through so quickly we boarded the train before ours at 10:50 or something!

Thanks all it seems like it can be bad at busy times - unfortunately we will be travelling late evening… so likely to be hectic. @Glittertwins that sounds hideous - would you recommend trying to avoid the terminal carpark and go straight for the customs queue?

we were funnelled into the carpark and then around, its was all part of the same route unbelievably. We’d arrived very early as we try to get an earlier train if possible and the M25 can be awful. Nipped in to use the loos and when we saw the state of the quoting , jumped straight in. Granted it was sunner but why did they not have all the lanes and booths open - not like in was unpredictable!!
it was a good job we had left early that day as the M25 was shut a few hours later.
