Amsterdam hotel for airport & AFAS Live

DD19 and friend are going to Amsterdam for an event at the AFAS Live. Any recommendations please for a budget hotel that’s easy to/from the airport and the venue by public transport- if such a thing exists?

We go to the Amsterdam area quite a bit and always stay at the airport Ramada. The shuttle is free from the airport, €5/pax back. You get a nice big modern room with rates often around £100, which is very definitely "budget" in Amsterdam terms. It's in a very quiet area on the edge of a nice little town (Badhoevedorp where there are a couple of bars and restaurants). There is a bus (use Google Maps) from a few hundred metres away that ends up very near Biljmer, which is where AFAS Live is. If the concert ends after the last bus then it would probably be about £30 in an Uber back to the hotel.
